Spin-to-win app
A spin-to-win app that 📊 proves it
Shoppers spin a wheel, win a discount, and check out. Profiter is the one built to tell you whether that discount made you money.
How it works
What happens when a shopper spins
Four steps. All automatic. None of them visible to the shopper.
A trigger opens the wheel
Exit intent, a scroll depth, or a timer brings up the popup — you pick which, in the campaign builder, along with the pages it may appear on. No theme code to edit.
The shopper spins
They leave an email or phone number, tap the wheel, and watch it turn.
The server picks the prize
Our server picks the result with a cryptographically secure random generator (CSPRNG), using your odds and stock caps, before the wheel starts easing to a stop. The browser gets slice labels to draw the wheel and nothing that would let it choose.
A code applies itself
A single-use discount code mints on the spot and applies through the cart, so it's already there at checkout.

The real difference
Other wheels report spins. Profiter reports profit.
Spin counts and email counts are easy to show and easy to misread. Profiter keeps a control group who never see the wheel, then compares profit per visitor between the two groups — after your real margin and shipping cost, not before.
- A holdout group that never sees the wheel, held steady by a deterministic FNV-1a hash so a visitor stays in the same group across sessions
- Profit per exposed visitor, computed from your margin and shipping cost
- A two-proportion z-test with a 95% Wald confidence interval, plus a chi-square sample-ratio check at alpha 0.001 that flags a broken test before you trust it
- A recommendations engine grounded in your own data, flagging things like a jackpot above 1.5% odds with no redemption cap

Storefront weight
A wheel your page speed survives
A popup that drags the page down costs you more than it wins. Here is what each app actually loads before a shopper touches anything.
| App | Files | Gzipped |
|---|---|---|
| Profiter (this app) | 2 | 12,765 B |
| Wheelify | 11 | 94,236 B |
Measured 29 August 2026 in Chrome, counting every file each app loads on a storefront page before any interaction. Wheelify is the most-reviewed spin-the-wheel app on the Shopify App Store and was measured on a live store running it. Our build fails in CI if the JavaScript passes 21 KB, so this stays true as features land.
Questions
Good to know
Is there a free spin-to-win app for Shopify?
Yes. Profiter's Free plan covers 1,000 spins a month and includes the measurement work in full: holdout testing, profit per visitor after discounts and shipping, and the recommendations engine. The paid plans buy reach and integrations, never the ability to measure.
Will a spin-to-win app slow down my Shopify store?
It can, which is why this one is kept small. Profiter loads two files totalling 15,412 bytes gzipped on a storefront page. The most-reviewed spin-wheel app on the App Store loads 11 files totalling 94,236 bytes gzipped, measured in Chrome on a live store running it in July 2026. A CI budget fails our build if the JavaScript passes 21 KB.
Can shoppers cheat a spin-to-win wheel?
Not here. The winning slice is chosen on our server with a cryptographically secure random generator, using your odds and stock caps, before the wheel starts easing to a stop. The browser is sent slice labels so it can draw the wheel, but the odds are deliberately withheld and the outcome is settled before the animation begins.
How do I know if a spin wheel is actually profitable?
Profiter keeps a holdout group that never sees the wheel, then compares profit per visitor between the two groups using the margin and shipping numbers you enter. That answers whether the popup added profit after the discounts it gave away, rather than how many spins it collected.
How are spin-to-win prizes decided fairly?
Each slice carries the odds and any redemption cap you set, and the server applies both when it picks. Slices that can never be won are dropped from the wheel entirely rather than shown as decoration. The animation is presentation; the result exists before it starts.
